A Dallas Police Officer was shot and killed in Oak Cliff on Thursday night. Two other officers were hurt, one critically. The Dallas Police Department said they received a call about an officer in distress around 10:00 pm near the Oak Cliff Community Center on Ledbetter Road near Marsalis Avenue. They found an officer in his marked patrol vehicle shot. Responding officers then exchanged gunfire with a suspect, resulting in two more officers shot at that scene. They took all three officers to local hospitals. Police confirmed that the incident killed one officer, and a second officer had life-threatening injuries. They expect the third officer to be okay. The suspect is dead after a chase.
