The National Weather Service has extended an excessive heat warning for much of North and Central Texas through 8 pm today. Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 112 and or temperatures to 110 are expected across portions of the region. Extreme heat and humidity will significantly impact increased potential for heat related illnesses.
