The period between Memorial Day and Labor Day is known as the “100 Deadliest Days” because of a large increase in the number of fatal motor crashes involving teen drivers. AAA-Texas estimates about 28 percent of those crashes are due to speeding. Driving while intoxicated and other distractions make up another 25 percent of the crashes.
