Delta ColuntyChild Hit & Killed by Car After Royse City Celebration

A family from the Delta County town of Klondike was attending a Celebrating Freedom Event at Royse City High School and visiting with friends after the show. That’s when the family’s 12-year-old daughter was struck by a vehicle while riding a skateboard. She was transported to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas where she died. The driver of the car that hit the girl was the girl’s father. Police say evidence indicates the incident was an accident.
