Delta Variant Causing COVID Surge

COVID cases in Texas are surging, primarily because of the highly contagious Delta variant. In Austin, they’ve returned to Stage 3 COVID Risk-Based Guidelines. The seven-day average for new cases has tripled from 30 to almost 90. In addition, the seven-day moving average for hospital admissions went from seven to 20 or 21.
