Deport Accident Injures One

A multiple vehicle crash shut down part of Highway 271 in Deport Tuesday afternoon, 25-year-old Jack Buttitta of Monroe, Louisiana was northbound when troopers say he became distracted and crossed over into the southbound lane, hit an 18 wheeler and then spun into an SUV, causing it to overturn. The driver of the SUV was treated for burns caused by the air bags.
