Deportation Flights Planned For Haitians

The federal government is ramping up deportation flights to Haiti this week, moving out some of the thousands who have been living under an international bridge in Del Rio. They are sending others to Arizona and California for processing. State Senator Roland Gutierrez is glad something is happening because it’s a bad scene. He worries about COVID spreading through the makeshift camps because most of the migrants are not vaccinated. They expect more Haitian immigrants to arrive this week.
