Carrie Underwood tells CMT that she enjoyed going to her grandmother’s house for Christmas as a child. “Growing up, at Christmas, we would go to my grandma’s house. They lived down the street. We would go there, and all the kids, on Christmas Eve, and put apples, oranges, and bananas in little paper bags. And, then, we would all go to the nursing home and we would sing Christmas carols up and down the halls and pass out fruit to all the people who didn’t have any visitors on Christmas Eve.”
The Treasure Coast Palm newspaper claims Jake Owen recently played a benefit concert in Indian River County, Florida. His six-year-old daughter, Olive, came out and played guitar during the song ”Anywhere With You.”
Pop Culture Country claims Jon Pardi is selling custom t-shirts to benefit victims of the California wildfires. The $30 shirts say ”Cali Love” on the front.
Jon tells the website; “We loved driving around those mountains. We’d always go have fun there, so it’s kinda hit home, too. Being from California you just know how fires are. There’s nothing good about them.”
Dierks Bentley tells Glamour magazine that he loves having a pilot’s license. “I love flying, and I fly long distances … it’s really nice to jump on a plane, sit back, and let someone else do the heavy lifting, but flying is my main passion for sure.”
Dustin Lynch tells Glamour magazine that he looks to his grandparents for relationship advice. “They are high-school sweethearts, so that’s cool. My first single, “Cowboys & Angels,” was written about their kind of story. It’s cool that I get to sing that song when I’m on stage and it reminds me of them. I have called my granddad over a breakup one time when I was I having a tough time. She actually said, “It’s the music or me,” so that was an easy decision, but I started missing her a lot, so I called him. It’s good to have a counselor in the family!”
