Downtown Paris Fire Update

Fire heavily damaged a building Monday morning at 7:00 on Plaza Street across from the Grand Theater in downtown Paris. The blaze broke out at about 6:45 am Monday and firefighters responded with multiple trucks. Early reports indicated the building as unoccupied and no injuries were reported. Significant damage was reported to both the outside and inside of the two-story brick building. Neighboring structures suffered smoke, but no physical damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
