TRAFFIC ALERT: 90 Day Traffic Study Set for Downtown Paris begins Dec. 6, 2021, runs until March 6, 2022

From the= Lamar County Sheriff’s Office: 

Drivers will find new stop requirements leading into and around downtown Paris over the next three months. Traffic signals downtown will be converted to flashing red lights and stop signs will be added to the intersections starting Dec. 6, 2021. The traffic study is being conducted by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the City of Paris. The change from traffic signals to flashing red signals with stop signs will remain in place through March 6, 2022.

Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use extra caution while traveling in the downtown area during the short-term study period.
