Early Voting In Hopkins County

Early voting begins tomorrow for the November 3 General Election and will continue through October 30. Election officials expect higher voter turnout than in recent elections. Governor Abbott has signed an order that masks are recommended but cannot be required. And given the expected massive turnout, social distancing could present issues. In Hopkins County, early voting is in the Game Room at The ROC, First Baptist Church’s Recreational Outreach Building, at 115 Putman St in Sulphur Springs.

The Sulphur Springs City Council will hold an unusual election on election day this year. Four members resigned earlier this year, with Place 1 having four candidates, Jay W. Julian, Mark Bradley, Vanessa Diosdado, and Justin M. Brown. Place 5 has two candidates, Ricardo Chavarria and Gary Spraggins.
