East Texas Capital Murder Conviction Upheld

A Texas appeals court has upheld the capital murder conviction of an East Texas woman. The court sentenced 29-year-old Stacie Marie Parsons in Henderson County to life in prison without the possibility of parole for beating and drowning her four-year-old daughter four years ago near Athens. Her attorneys say she had intellectual disabilities.
