East Texas Church Arsonist To Be Back In Court

A convicted East Texas serial church arsonist will be in Smith County District Court Monday. Jason Bourque, who is currently in prison is arguing that he received ineffective and incompetent counsel when he pleaded guilty to the charges. Bourque will become eligible for parole in 2018 at the very earliest. His co-defendant Daniel McAlister is eligible in May of this year.
