East Texas Deputy Placed On Paid Leave After Fatal Shooting

 

 

An East Texas deputy has been put on paid administrative leave after a fatal shooting over the weekend. Harrison County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jeff McAndrews shot 61-year-old Arthur McAfee, Jr., at his home northwest of Longview. McAfee’s sister reportedly told 911 dispatchers that her brother was a veteran had mental problems. Texas Rangers are investigating.
