East Texas Imposter Faces Lengthy Prison Term

An East Texas man who posed as a professional musician and athlete pleaded guilty in Pennsylvania to multiple charges. Reportedly, 37-year-old Michael Glenn Barnes, of Gun Barrel City, pleaded guilty to 29 counts of wire fraud, eight counts of mail fraud, and four counts of aggravated identity theft. He used e-mail accounts to obtain free musical instruments, sports equipment by claiming to be a member of various bands and professional athletic teams.
