East Texas Inmate Attempts Suicide

AnUpshur County jail inmate has been hospitalized after attempting to hang himself in his cell. A jailer conducting his rounds found the inmate in what was called a state of distress, and summoned other jailers, medical staff and first responders. The inmate’s condition has not been disclosed.
