East Texas Inmate Found Dead

A 50-year-old female inmate was found dead inside the Anderson County Jail over the weekend. Authorities say the woman had an apparent medical condition and an autopsy has been ordered. No foul play is suspected. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has requested an independent investigation by Texas Rangers.
