East Texas Man Charged In Machete Incident

 

 

A 58-year-old East Texas man has been arrested for allegedly swinging a machete at a man during an altercation at a Gregg County mobile home park. The alleged victim, who was not injured, said Ferlin Troy Roberts, of Kilgore, told him to get off his property and then got out of his vehicle and began swinging. His car was left in gear and rolled into another car. Roberts was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Mischief causing more than $750 but less than $2500 in damage.
