East Texas Man Dies In Officer Involved Shooting

Harrison County Deputies responded to a welfare concern northeast of the Longview and made contact with 61-year-old who had a history of mental problems. A conflict occurred and McAfee was tased. McAfee’s family, who was at the scene, said the officer then shot McAfee twice while he was on the ground. Texas Rangers are investigating.
