East Texas Man Drowns Saving Woman

Game Wardens have identified the man killed trying to save a woman from the Neches River near the Anderson-Cherokee county line.  TP&W Captain Quint Balkom says a family was fishing  behind the spillway of Lake Palestine and the Neches River when a woman fell in the water and started having trouble. Three people jumped in to save her, including 36 year old Israel Rincon. Witnesses say Rincon  went  under and never resurfaced. Everyone else made it safely back to shore.
