An East Texas man was put to death Wednesday night at the Texas State Penitentiary in Huntsville for torturing and killing a young woman in 1998. Huntsville officials pronounced the death of 51-year-old Troy Clark, of Tyler, shortly after 6: 30 pm, becoming the ninth person executed in Texas this year.
