East Texas Man Guilty In Child’s Hit-And-Run Death

An East Texas man has pleaded guilty to the hit-and-run death of an 11-year-old boy on Hwy 271 in Smith County.  A court sentenced 22-year-old Josue Alejandro Prado Ramirez, of Athens, to 12 ½ years in prison. The body of the victim, Damarion Williams, was found on a Sunday morning, but investigators say he was hit the night before.
