East Texas Man Killed After Shootout With Officers

An East Texas man is dead after getting into a shoot-out with lawmen. 29 year old Jamie Stotts of Nacogdoches had allegedly been involved in an assault earlier in the day, and tried to elude officers chasing him.  He then drove to his home and grabbed a shotgun and rifle and fired several shots at deputies and State Troopers before they returned fire and killed him. No lawmen were injured. Texas Rangers are investigating.
