East Texas Man’s Throat Slashed During Fight

A Smith County man has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after cutting a man’s throat during a fight while the men were smoking the synthetic marijuana known as K2. Deputies later found the suspect’s car, with both men inside and the victim bleeding profusely. The deputy slowed the bleeding until EMS arrived and took the victim to the hospital. Danny Ray Tate was arrested.
