Cessna 172
(Not actual aircraft involved in Lubbock crash)
Authorities identified an East Texas emergency room doctor as the pilot who died when his small plane crashed in a neighborhood in Lubbock earlier this week. Reportedly, 59-year-old Donald Eakin, of Hallsville, worked at UT-Health East Texas in Carthage. They discovered his body in the single-engine Cessna wreckage after it crashed into a back alley in a Lubbock neighborhood Monday and burst into flames.
