East Texas Teacher-Coach Charged With Improper Relationship

A Spring Hill ISD teacher and coach was arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student. The Longview man, 25-year-old Jacob Vincent Badgett, posted $50,000 bond later and was released from jail. He resigned from the district Wednesday. Badgett taught physical education and coached at the Junior and Senior High Schools.
