East Texas Woman Struck By Train

Jacksonville police and fire-rescue responded at about 1pm Wednesday afternoon after a female pedestrian was hit by a train. Authorities say  the woman was walking eastbound on the tracks as the train was approaching but did not respond to the train warning horns. After striking the woman, the train  crew stopped the train and contacted emergency services. Her name has not been released pending notifications.
