Eight Inducted Into North Lamar Athletic Hall Of Fame

Former coach and athlete standouts recognized

North Lamar Athletic Director Aaron Emeyabbi, far right, honored eight former athletes and coaches who were selected by a committee as members of the 2018 NL Athletic Hall of Fame.   Those selected were recognized during the pregame activities at the North Lamar and Paris football game.

Inductees from left are Tommy Felty, who served 17 years as NL’s Athletic Director and 33 years in education; Melissa Henderson (pictured with her son), a member of the 1993 State Basketball Semi-Finalist; Clint Spencer, a State and Regional Track Qualifier for the 800 meter run and two-time All-District Basketball Team member; Renee Coston, a member of the 1993 State Basketball Semi-Finalist and named to the All-District Volleyball Team; Justin Miller, who was drafted by the San Diego Padres and played in the minors, member of the 2007 All-State Baseball Team and All-District Football Team; Mindy Dority, a member of the 1993 State Basketball Semi-Finalist and named to the All-District Volleyball Team; and  Chancy Williams, a member of the 2010 Softball State Champions.  Not pictured is Loretta Francis, a member of the 1978 Track State Champions.
