Elective Surgeries In Four Texas Counties On Hold

Governor Greg Abbott signed an executive order on Thursday morning to suspend elective surgeries in Bexar, Dallas, Harris, and Travis counties to ensure there are enough hospital beds to treat COVID-19 patients. The order says the patient’s doctor will be the one who determines if a medical procedure falls under the elective category.
