Emergency Drill At Choctaw Child Development Center

We would like to invite you to an Active Shooter Lockdown Training Drill at 1:30 p.m. on Monday (Dec 5) at the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Child Development Building located at 2752 Big Lots Parkway, Durant. The facility has been improved with Bullet Proof Door Shields and Intruder Locks to help ensure the safety of our children, staff and visitors. We hope you can join us as we take note of the progress in Bryan County.

About the facility safety improvements: A little over a year ago, the Choctaw Nation began meeting with the Choctaw-owned and Preferred Supplier business of Sage Dyer, of Huntington Beach, Calif., the inventor who developed the Door Shield. After working with the California school systems, she wanted to provide this protection to her tribal members. This demonstration is the result.
