Emergency Lamar County Burn Ban

Under the advice of the Lamar County Department of Emergency Management,  and county fire departments, Judge Chuck Superville has issued an Emergency Burn Ban effective immediately. Authorities  sited a high fire danger in the county and an increase in the number of fires  requiring multiple fire departments to control and extinguish. The emergency ban prohibits all outdoor burning for not longer than 7 days but can be renewed on or before the 7^th day. The fine for violating the ban can be up to $500.
