ET Man Jailed After Assault Of Police Officer, Chase

An East Texas man has been arrested for assaulting an officer and leading authorities on a high-speed chase. Harrison County authorities were conducting a welfare check when 49-year-old Tony Parish, of Marshall, became combative, jumped in his car and fled, eventually driving into oncoming traffic on US 80 near Hallsville. Parish was eventually stopped and taken to the hospital for evaluation. He was then transported to the Harrison County Jail.
