Jarvis Christian University Fundraiser

Greetings! 

It is the time of year that we become reflective of the many blessings that we have received, the successes and failures that we’ve experienced, and to give our testimony of favor. It is also the time of year when we begin to reflect on how we can end the year being a blessing to others.  

This year, Jarvis Christian University has experienced many successes. We have witnessed the transition from the executive leadership of Dr. Newman to mine as the 13th President and CEO of JCU. Our students are excelling academically and athletically. Our faculty continue to give their best in the classroom to ensure they prepare our students for their career paths. Staff continue to do their very best to provide support services to our students. We have completed the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan, engaged community leaders, established articulation agreements, increased our digital footprint, and continued our preeminence journey. The work of Jarvis Christian University continues.  

We have now come to the end of this calendar year having done all of this, but we need to reach out to you to ask you to help us cross the financial finish line. We need your help assisting us in “closing the gap” by giving an end-of-the-year contribution to help us “finish strong.”

Donations given will help us to continue to assist our students. They will allow us to replenish funds that we have utilized to ensure that our students have what they need financially, socially, emotionally, and physically while they are students at Jarvis.  

We are continuing to bounce back from the devastation of COVID-19, and we are seeing students return to campus for their educational experience. Although there was a slight increase in student enrollment, we still fell short financially due to some students’ inability to pay the balances that they owed the institution. I hope that you can and will assist us. Your donation will make a significant difference in the lives of the students and this University.  

This time of year, I often think of the Gift of the Magi or those better known as the Three Wise Men who visited the baby Jesus. They brought gifts to Jesus because they wanted to express their appreciation and understanding of the impact his birth would have on the world. The skills they brought were an indication of his value. I hope and pray that you value what Jarvis Christian University has meant to you and that you will help us continue our quest to educate the “Head, Heart, and Hand” of those who make us their choice.
