Cheri Bedford, City of Paris’ Main Street Coordinator and Historic Preservation, says Paris canceled the Christmas Tree Lightning for Saturday (Nov 28). Instead, it will be virtual lighting because of COVID in the community. Paris is working with a company and plans something virtual and fun with the city employees. Main Street is shooting for one day this week to show it off downtown and inform the public when the video is available. For now, though, no live reindeer or Santa on this coming Saturday.
