United Way Texarkana Community Impact Grant

This year’s 2019-2020 United Way of Greater Texarkana Community Impact Grant applications will be available Monday (Mar 18). This application will be available on our website at www.texarkanaunitedway.org. Just go on the United Way of Greater Texarkana home page, at the top center go to “Our Work” tab, and scroll down to “Community Impact” Click on. Then you will click on “apply for funding.” That will take you to the Community Force website, and there you will click on the 2019 Community Investment Grant. This year, ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE COMPLETED and Submitted ON-LINE!

*A MANDATORY meeting is required for all new applicants to make application for these funds. PLEASE, call the Local United Way office at (903) 794-3105 to reserve your organization a spot.
Meeting on Tuesday (Mar 26) 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Texarkana College, Business & Computer Technology Building (LEVI HALL). There will be a valuable PowerPoint presentation by Molly Riley & Community Impact Co-chairs volunteer Tami Eakin and Pam White. Helpful examples will be given by the presenters for the Applicants to show them what will need to be complete and submit their online applications to United Way’s web link by 5:00 pm Monday (Apr 29). Presentations by the Agencies to the Community Impact Committee will be scheduled in June.

Some of the requirements for funding include:

• Applications will be accepted from 501(c)(3) organizations as well as other government, charitable or school-based organizations if the proposal aligns with UWGT’s mission.

• Programs must demonstrate need and benefit to UWGT’s service area.

• Programs must have measurable outcomes which are clearly defined and tracked for results.

Programs must align with at least one of UWGT’s focus areas of Education, Income, and Health and one or more of the target strategies.

United Way of Greater Texarkana Community Impact grants is how we invest local dollars in our communities in address specific community centered issues. Funding decisions are made locally through an annual competitive application process. Our Community Impact grants are invested in high performing nonprofit organizations that provide programs and services aligned with our three strategic priority areas of Education, Financial Stability and Health. Awardees help to improve community conditions across our regional footprint in zip codes located throughout (9) counties, in the two states we serve: Bowie, Cass, Marion, Morris, Red River & Titus in Texas and Lafayette, Little River & Miller in Arkansas.
