Events At Nation’s Capital Cause Closure Of Texas Capital

Texas DPS troopers closed the Texas Capitol grounds Wednesday as President Trump supporters gathered outside to protest the certification of President-elect Joe Biden’s win. After the events in Washington on Wednesday, the Texas Attorney General’s Office called on protesters in Austin to remain peaceful, which they did. The DPS said they made the closure of the capitol grounds out of an abundance of caution.
