Everett Students Visit Cotton Gin

The third grade class at Everett Elementary got to see a cotton gin at work when they visited the PPF Gin and Warehouse in Delta County. They toured the facility learning where cotton is grown and how it’s harvested. They got to see how the seeds are separated from the cotton fibers leaving lint that is baled for shipping. The seeds are then used to grow more cotton or to produce cottonseed oil and meal.
