Evictions Looming as Covid Moratorium Ends

Many are predicting that evictions will be the next big crisis to hit Texas. The end of the CDC’s federal eviction moratorium on December 31 could spell doom for roughly ten percent of Texas adults. Since the state doesn’t keep track of eviction filings, the best estimate is coming from a survey question from the census. The  low-income housing advocacy group Texas Housers  is calling on the state to step up and take action.
