Excessive Heat, Fire Danger Continues

The excessive heat warning in North and Central Texas is extended until at least 8pm tonight. Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures or heat index values around 103 to 110 degrees are possible.

The red flag for critical fire danger  is in effect  for   this afternoon and evening in areas west of the I-35 corridor. An elevated fire threat will continue east of I-35.
