Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Saturday afternoon at approximately 2:35, Troopers responded to a fatal motorcycle crash on CR-1125, 0.5 miles south of Tyler in Smith County. Reportedly, the driver of a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle, Anthony Bradley Cruz, 57, of Flint, was traveling south on CR-1125. A tree fell across both lanes of travel and the driver of the motorcycle, unable to avoid the obstacle, collided with the tree in the southbound lane. Cruz was transported to UT-Health Tyler where Dr. Helen Markowski pronounced him dead. The crash remains under investigation.
