Fatal NE Texas Fire May Have Been Caused By Lightning

Authorities are investigating a fatal Northeast Texas mobile home fire. Firefighters responded to the blaze in Liberty-Eylau shortly after midnight Thursday and found the structure completely engulfed with flames and smoke. Officials pronounced 61-year-old Joe Nathan Thompson, Jr., dead at the scene. The cause of the blaze is under investigation and it’s possible that lightning may have been a factor.
