A new Texas law restricting social media for children is now in effect, but a federal judge has blocked some portions of the law. The judge ruled that the portion requiring social media companies to filter content from children’s feeds is unconstitutional and against the First Amendment. The judge, however, allowed the requirement for parental consent for their kids to create an account on social media platforms to stand.
