Feds Take Over Paxton Investigation

The federal investigation into Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is now in the hands of federal officials in Washington, and Texas federal prosecutors are no longer handling the case. He first came to the attention of the FBI when his top deputies accused him of bribery and abusing his office to help a campaign contributor. But it is still unclear why the local prosecuting office stepped aside.
