Fire Destroys Hawkins Restaurant And Vacant Building

Stock photoA fire reported shortly after 5:00 Monday morning in Hawkins destroyed the Venice Pizza House restaurant and a vacant building next door. Wood County Fire Marshal Tully Davidson said there were no injuries. They have not determined the cause of the blaze, but the restaurant owner claimed the vacant building next door had been a commonplace for homeless people.
