First Monkeypox Case Reported In North Texas

Someone who just returned to Texas from Mexico has tested positive for Monkeypox. It’s the first virus case of Monkeypox in Texas since the worldwide outbreak started last month. Dallas County Health Director Dr. Philip Huang says they’ve notified people that had close contact with the patient in Texas. He says they have isolated the patient at home in Dallas, and they don’t believe there’s a threat to the public.
