Five Daingerfield Tigers Named All-State

The postseason awards still keep coming in as five Lady Tiger seniors were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Academic All-State Team for 2017. Those named were Camryn Byrd, Ashlyn Fomby, Courtney Makepeace, Graci Runk, and Baylee Welch.

The TGCA bar is high. To qualify for this honor, Academic All-State athletes and members of the support staff of that sport must be graduating seniors, must have an overall GPA average of 94 or above for grades 9-11. They also must be a varsity participant or support staff member in good standing and be of good moral character.
