Five In Custody After East Texas Woman Found Dead

Authorities are investigating after the body of a woman was found at or near a house in Bullard. Investigators say the body had evidently been there for some time.  A man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident. Three other men were detained and were being questioned about the incident. The house where the body may have been found was reportedly known for drug activity. Smith County deputies and Bullard police are conducting the investigation.
