Areas of widespread rain and occasional brief thunderstorms with moderate to heavy showers will continue to move to the northeast across the region through late morning. Flooding does not appear to be a significant threat at this time, but you can expect periods of heavy rainfall to increase later today. Some minor ponding of water may occur on roadways this morning. Rainfall amounts through
noon will range from near a quarter of an inch to as much as one inch or more in isolated areas.
