Flu Cases Expected To Rise

Doctors and pharmacists throughout North Texas are preparing for what many believe may be a busy flu season this year. The CDC’s influenza map shows Texas has some of the highest flu activity in the country. To prevent the spread of serious illness, doctors recommend getting a flu shot. The Department of Health and Human Services confirmed 422 cases of influenza A and B during the week of Oct. 1. During the same week last year, no influenza was confirmed.
