Former DPS Sergeant Sentenced To Federal Prison

A DPS sergeant stationed in North Texas who monitored truck safety must serve 15 months in federal prison for accepting bribes in exchange for favorable inspections. The former trooper, 51-year-old Kevin Gerard Cauley of Rockwall, pleaded guilty to wire fraud. A trucking company owner also pleaded guilty in the case and awaits sentencing.
